    Being behind on photos, trying to finish my website, and trying to line up new work almost made me NOT go to Madrone Canyon in Lakspur, CA on January 26th. Fortunately, Rocky was whining like most bored dogs do, so I decided to trek it. The storms had just ended, and I figured I would be able to get some great slow shutter water exposures. But when I first got on the trail, I noticed this image and couldn’t resist! I love how the massive redwood tree trunk is coming into the camera. This photo proves there is nothing like Marin County in the winter! Taken with Canon 450D EOS XSI. 5 exposures (-2, -1, 0, +1, +2). Tone Mapping with Photomatix.
